The Strangest Stranger

Anna, a young ambitious psychologist on an internship at Bellevue Hospital, ends up alone with a mysterious patient, who claims he’s traveled through time and space by the means of a powerful magic. From Homecoming, Book III: Awakening.

A ghostly glow from the skylight illuminated a figure across the room, a serene face in the halo of white hair. The face could have belonged to a beautiful woman if it didn’t belong to a young man, who was curled in a cozy ball like a cat in the corner of her couch, head resting on his folded arm. As soon as Anna moved, his eyes snapped open; he sat upright and smiled at her.
